Spirit and Character, an exhibition of modern realist oil paintings by some of China's best artists, opened on April 15 at the Chinese Sons and Daughters Art Gallery (TEL: 5055790), in Shapowei, Xiamen. On display are 158 paintings, most of them from private collections or the permanent collections of art galleries. Half of them have market values of over RMB 1 million. The duration of the exhibition runs from April 15 to 24. The ticket price is RMB 30, half price for university students, and free for retirees, high school and primary students. |
