In 2005,there were totally 895 sanitation institutions in Xiamen, including 28 hospitals,4 nursing home,19 community sanitation service centers, 16 medical institutions,57 Clinics,7 Health Care Institutions for Women and Children ,7 disease prevention and control centers and 1 professional disease prevention and cure institutions; There were total 10,600 professional sanitation personnels,including: 4298 certified physicians,555 certificated assistant physicians, 3477 certified nurses; There were total 7372 clinic beds in Health and Hygience Bureau, including 5730 clinic beds in Hospitals,814 in Nursing houses,54 in Heath and Sanitation Instutions. There were 266 villages implemented cooperation medical treatment or medical insurance. There were 309 rural medical treatment places, 35 licensed doctor, 979 rural doctors and sanitation personels. 7 medical research projects received Science and Technology Development Award. |
