In year 2005,Xiamen had 6 different classes of art performance organizations, 7 art performance places.It hold 2055 times performance with total spectators of 89 thousand;There wer 8 Public libraries,1 mass art performance places,5 culture places,3 museums and 2 cultural relic protection and management museums. There were about 192.490 million books stored in the city’s public library, with 1.486 million readers. It published 9 different kinds of newspaper swith total of 16,504 pcs, 505 kinds of books with 1144 volumes; 26 magazines with total of 710 thousand volumes.It completed 48.1 kilometers cables and newly developed 46,200 customers in rural area. Till the end of 2005,there were total 8 private media institutions and 700 city buses were equipped with changeable display screens. |
