Enterprises shall meet the following requirements and provide the following documents to obtain the Certificate for Import and Renewal of Equipment, Technologies and Accessories by Foreign-funded Enterprises:

1. Documents to be provided:

A. Application

B. Photocopies of approval documents for the establishment of the enterprise, the Approval Certificate and the Business License;

C. Photocopy of the certificate especially issued to five categories of enterprises;

D. Inventory of the imported goods (in duplicate)

E. Feasibility study report on the renewal and maintenance of the exiting equipment;

F. Recent audit report of the enterprise

G. If the audit report states that the four types of capitals of the enterprise can not afford the renewal, the enterprise shall submit a separate accounting firm audit report for each type of the capitals.

2. Requirements:

A. The applying enterprise should belong to the following types of enterprises: foreign-funded enterprises that belong to the state-encouraged category, foreign-funded research and development center, foreign-funded enterprises with advanced technology, export-oriented foreign-funded enterprises;

B. Imported goods referred to here can only be used to update or replace the exiting equipment. They include self-use equipment and the related technologies, parts, and accessories, but exclude production lines and whole sets of equipment;

C. Imported goods are subject to the restrictions of the Catalog of Taxable Imported Goods of Foreign-funded Projects. If the imported goods are within the Catalog, the enterprise shall submit the Certificate for Import of Foreign Equipment of Foreign-funded Enterprises issued by the administrative organs in charge of the import of the relevant kind of goods.
