Xiamen Examination & Approval Service Center for Foreign-funded Projects is subordinate to Xiamen Foreign Investment Bureau. It is established by the Government to improve the efficiency of the registration, examination and approval of foreign-funded projects and to serve the investors better. The Center serves foreign investors and investors from Hong Kong, Taiwan and Macao who invest and establish business presence in Xiamen.

Its principal functions include:

Provide consultation on various investment policies, laws and regulations;

Organize joint examination of important projects and for those projects upon which endorsement from organizations (such as the Environment Protection Bureau and the Development Planning Committee ) are needed before the examination and approval, the center will facilitate the efforts of investors to get such endorsement.

Provide guidance on the filing of relevant application documents and act as the agent concerning the establishment, examination and approval of the named project , examination and approval of contracts and the articles of association, pre-approval of company¡¯s name, the registration at Industrial & Commercial Administration Bureau and informing the company of its code;

Issue out various application forms concerning the seal engraving, company code, foreign exchange registration, tax registration and registration with the Customs as well as provide guidance on filling the forms.
