| Xiamen Customs announced last week that trade between Fujian and Taiwan has been rising steadily since bottoming out at the beginning of the year. In the first five months of this year, Fujian’s trade with Taiwan totaled $2.25 billion. Exports were up 10 percent to $510 million while imports dropped 38 percent to $1.73 billion.
