  Lancelet

  The lancelet is the famous and precious specialty of Xiamen whose popular name is crocodile worm. It is mainly in Liuwu Shop of Tongan,Xiamen. The Xiamen lancelet is small in sizes, semi-transparent with both head and tail being sharp. The largest is 5-6 cm and 4 or 4 thousands per kilogram. The flesh is tender and fresh which makes one's mouth water. The dry ones can be kept for 1-2 years and is the best gift for tourists.

  Medical wine:

  It is made by medicine and wine with medical curative effect as well as wine effect. It has varity kinds,such as Wanquatang, Chunshentang,Guben Medical Wine,Weiyuan Medical Wine, Yuegui Wine,Black hen wine,etc.

  Qingjin Fruit:

  It is made by cooked olive together with liquorice in sweet water. Sweet and sour,fragrant.It is good for digestions, sober-up effect and good for your health.

  Buddihist Pellet

  It has olive and many famous and expensive Chinese traditional medicine,such as kernel, bean, cinnamon and Chengxiang cooked in sweet water. Fragrant and tasty. It also has the effect of having good appetite and eliminate bellyache.

  Mushroom cutlet:

  Fragrant mushroom meat sauce: The production skills and procedure for Daffodil mushroom meat sauce can made in Xiamen is originally from Huangjinxiang Shimahongji meat sauce which were popular before the foundation of People’s Republic of China. After getting rid of its disadvantage and repeating experiments, now it contains 12 raw materials and assistant materials, such as fresh pork, best quality bean, mushroom, pepper, onion and garlic etc.As the  skillful chef strictly obeys the cooking material, cooking time and quantity, processes and cans it quickly, each raw materials keeps its original flavor.

  Xiamen Pie

  There are 2 kinds of Xiamen Pies. Sweet pie is stuffed with sweetened green bean paste with lard and then cooked with white sugar. Salty pie is stuffed with meat piece with lard and white sugar. Crispy skin and delicious stuff are its characteristics. There is also a kind of pie stuffed with green bean and white sugar or agaric in South Putuo Temple.

  Fishskin Peanut:

  Its skin is made by best quality flour, white sugar and other good materials. Within the skin is top class dried peanut. With its strict material selection and delicate production skills, it tastes sweet, soft, crisp and salty with slight sweet. It can be served as the best snack..

  Gold Flavor Meat Rolls.

  “Golden Flavor” meat rolls, dry meat and charqui in Gulangyu Island is the famous speciality of Xiamen. Eaten them with porridge is the best dish for Old people and children. Customers do not know the knack of making it,but meat rolls stills attracts many people with its obvious characristics: golden color,sweet-smelling,melted immediately in the mouth and with sweet flavor. Dried meat melted into paste befor chaw it.Therefore, it is usually the best dish for children. Charqui is different from them. It is the best dish for dinner and good gifts for friends and relatives.

  Orange Cake

  We can find different kinds of cakes in the market, but few of them can maintain its original flavor. Orange Cake is the exceptional. Orange cake made in Tongan has as clean as jade surface. It is soft and easy to chaw in the mouth ,tasty and refreshing. It is popular across the nation and renowned both at home and abroad.

  Crunchy Peanut-cake

  The crunchy peanut-cake also named”Tributed Candyr” is mainly made of peanut and granulated sugar. While making, fry peanut deeply and remove its layer, cooked it with sugar and grinded it as crisps. After shape it, cut it into small pieces. While eating, you should open the wrapping paper carefully and out the cake lightly into your mouth. It melts once inside the mouth, tasting slightly sweet but not greasy, delicacy selling at home and abroad afar.

  Longan is the speciality of Tongan. It is famous for its big size, thin husk, thick flesh, rich juice and light sweetness. It was once tribute of feudalism imperials and now is the best fruit purchased by tourists at home and abroad.Tongan is one of the six Longan producing areas in China. It now has hundreds kinds of Longan in about 30,000,000 square meters planting area and exports these overseas.
