Shanghai, March 4, 2008—MOFCOM and the CIFIT Organizing Committee co-held a promoting cocktail party on the 12th CIFIT in Shanghai. The representatives from MOFCOM, Fujian Provincial Government, and Xiamen Municipal Government made addresses in the party respectively. Li Liuquan, Deputy Director General of the Liaison Dept. of CIFIT Organizing Committee, introduced the new highlights and preparation of 12th CIFIT, and warmly invited them to attend the fair on behalf of the Organizing Committee.

　　Mr. Ivan Dimitrov, Bulgarian Consul General in Shanghai, made a passionate speech during the party and spoke highly of CIFIT. He said CIFIT had become an influential platform for international investment promotion.

　　At the beginning of the party, Mr. Li Liuquan made a brief introduction on CIFIT. He said totally 100,000 guests of 2000 organizations from 140 countries and regions attend the past 11 sessions CIFIT. Over 1800 guests made speeches at CIFIT’s forum & seminars. More than 13,000 projects with 77 billion USD flowed in China while a lot of Chinese enterprises going global.

　　Mr. Li also introduced the new highlights of the 12th CIFIT. The Exhibition Hall II would put into operation on the 12th CIFIT. Moreover, the Organizing Committee would set up Property-rights Exchange Pavilion and Taiwan Pavilion and hold series of matchmaking symposia on Equity Exchange, Listed Companies, PE, and Trade in Services, with the cooperation of Sina.com and ASF Group Limited (AUS-SINO-FOCUS, an ASX Listed Australian company).(CIFIT net)
